Strengthening Food Distribution Nationwide
FTI’s Regional Food Terminals (RFTs) are strategic hubs established across the Philippines to improve the flow of agricultural products from farmers to consumers. These terminals reduce food wastage, stabilize prices, and support local economies by providing accessible markets for fresh and quality produce.

To address the challenges of preserving perishable goods, FTI is constructing state-of-the-art cold storage facilities within its Regional Food Terminals. These facilities are designed to cater to the specific needs of each region. For instance, in Davao, the focus is on fruits and vegetables, while in Pangasinan, the emphasis is on marine products. The cold storage units aim to reduce spoilage, extend shelf life, and ensure a steady supply of fresh produce throughout the year.

FTI has partnered with Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) Philippines Corp. to supply 100 live hogs daily to the Regional Food Terminals. This initiative aims to stabilize pork prices and ensure a consistent supply of affordable meat products. By sourcing directly from CPF, the program eliminates intermediaries, allowing consumers to access quality pork at lower prices.
